John Roger Kennerly

Roger was born on June 1,1937. He was a student at Bourne High School at the time of his death.
Bicycling, swimming, boating and music are some of the things Roger enjoyed doing. He was the President of his Junior class.
Roger was killed in an automobile accident on December 26, 1953 at the age of 16. The photo above was taken about a week before he died. He was handing out Christmas presents at the "class party" in his role as Class President.
Roger had an excellent sense of humor and many friends. He also planned to go on to college and have a career in engineering. The 1954 "Canal Currents" yearbook (BHS) was dedicated to his memory.
